This comprehensive EKG Technician Course prepares students to function as cardiovascular (EKG) Technicians. This Course will include important practice and background information on anatomy and physiology of the heart and basics of how other systems relate to this system, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, respiratory therapy assisting, and electrocardiography.
Additionally, students will practice with equipment and perform hands-on labs including introduction to the function and proper use of the machine, the normal anatomy of the chest wall for proper placement, 12-lead placement and other clinical practices. Students wishing to successfully complete this course towards achieving a certificate must obtain an 80% or above.
